DOWNTOWN.
First things first...the phrase "glory hole" refers to an opening in a furnace that allows glass to be reheated and its appearance refined. It's an apt name, considering that this pub pays tribute to Corning's lucrative, long-lived glass industry. The relaxed neighborhood place has a great selection of draft beers (international and regional), and it features live entertainment each week. You'll also find a tasty menu of bar food, perfect for reinvigorating you during a day of sightseeing or just fortifying you for a fun night ahead.

Thanks for the description ahead about the term "Glory Hole" Being a glass artist or from Corning you get discouraged from the "uneducated" about the Pub on Market Street and its name. The Glory Hole is a great place to dine and have drinks with friends. The cleanest atmosphere and the friendly service and the food is always good. Great drink specials and entertainment weekly. Give props to the new chef there that brought Caribbean and Latin American food to this area and the best wings around!

I was a bit disappointed from the name, I assumed, it was a trashy gay bar once I realized this was the fact we decided to stay, laugh it off and have a few beers.
Happy to say, it's a a pretty nice neighborhood bar with nice locals. Great beer selction important to us Canadians!!!
