3. Magee Beach

DOWNTOWN.   Perhaps the closest beach to downtown, Magee is a small sandy strand that overlooks Corpus Christi Bay. Maintained by the city, the beach is protected by a seawall and offers excellent swimming (no undertow!). It's also located within walking distance of a handful of large hotels and good restaurants. If you're looking to snap good photos at dawn or sunset, Magee Beach is a primo spot, because it tends to be less crowded during those times. Restroom and shower facilities are located on the north end of the beach.   (© 10Best)
