My Suitcase: (Add to My Suitcase)
Part of a West Coast-based chain, BJ's is known for its clean, welcoming atmosphere, extensive food menu, and selection of self-brewed beers. Favorites among the latter include rich Tatonka Stout, hoppy Piranha Pale Ale, and an American-style brown ale called Nutty Brewnette. Bring your appetite too, and select from tasty appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, deep dish pizzas, pastas, steaks, and fish and chips. You also might tackle a giant stuffed potato – monster spuds weigh in at 2-plus pounds each and are topped with goodies like roasted veggies, cheese, sauce and chili. If you can manage it, a Pizookie is a worthy splurge – a big, warm cookie with ice cream.

Fun jungle-themed decor, good cocktails, and a lengthy menu of Californian and Asian dishes make this a popular destination for a meal or a drink in the bar. Part of a small, California-based chain, the Elephant is great for families, but manages to have a pretty lively bar scene too.

Known for having some of the coldest beer anywhere, the Well vacillates between being a neighborhood bar and a wild dance club. There's karaoke every night and comedy on Sundays, plus the occasional holiday party, luau or wet t-shirt contest. A fun, friendly, dive-y sort of place.
