The Buzz -- The country's second-oldest, non-profit Shakespeare festival takes place each summer in Dallas, regaling spectators with fantastic, contemporary performances of Renaissance-era texts. Each season, plays are selected for the summer event (for 2009, The Taming of the Shrew, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Julius Caesar). Gates open at 7:30pm, and guests are invited to bring a picnic. October performances are also held at Addison Circle Park, where all performances require tickets (no suggested donations). |
