9. The Hideaway

KNOX-HENDERSON.   To stand out on Dallas's live music scene, a place really has to be special. The Hideaway – perhaps the city's most politically incorrect piano bar – certainly meets this criterion. Popular with gay men, the bar delivers a hilariously fun lineup of show tunes, jazz, and ad-libs each night. Moreover, great drink prices usually ensure that activity on the patio picks up well before the music ever starts.
