Disappointed
First, I must say that the young gentleman who prepared my food was very caring and professional. He really wanted to offer me a positive food experience. I ordered ribs and brisket with potato salad, and beans and asked for the more loose cut, marbled beef.
The potato salad and beans were okay. Some of the ribs were a bit dry to chew. The brisket was disappointing-dry, flavorless, sort of like paper. I only ate a small bite of everything.
The young gentlemen sensed that I wasn't enjoying it, and offered for me to get something else. I thanked him.
Unfortunately, the manager (owner?) stopped by next and told me that he won't serve fatty beef because it's unhealthy. So, does that mean that his ribs are health food? He walked away and loudly told the other workers that 'She wanted FAT brisket!'
Embarassed, I got up and left. I am unemployed, and I saved up to have a once-a month meal out. Now I am out of 14.00 and I have no food. I will not return. I've been to places where I didn't enjoy the food, yet I at least enjoyed the great customer service.
Fortunately, there are some really good BBQ places available in Dallas
