NORTHWEST DALLAS.
First-rate in anybody's book, Pappas Brothers makes a lasting impression with cozy atmosphere and professional service. And while thick, hearty cuts of dry-aged beef (from rib-eyes to New York strips) are the place's forte, side dishes like au gratin potatoes and wild mushrooms also merit careful consideration. If red meat doesn't get your mouth watering, then try live Maine lobster or another fresh seafood dish. The wine selection pulls from an inventory of over 25,000 bottles, and small, intimate rooms provide the perfect ambience for a first date or an important business meeting.

This meal was planned to be one of the focal points of our trip, and the staff of Pappas Bros did not dissapoint. It was without a doubt the best complete dinning experience that i have ever had.

I dined at Pappas Brothers last night. We were a party of seven for a business dinners that included our #1 customer. While the beef is certainly good, the service attentive and the décor pleasant, there were several shortcomings. If I am going to spend over $600 dollars for dinner, I expect to be able to carry on a conversation. The noise level was very high making normal discussion very difficult. In addition we had a long rectangular table instead of a round one, so people at the far end had no clue as to what the other end was saying. The wind list was extensive but the prices were a joke. The Sommelier tried to steer me towards a $160 bottle of wine, and it was one of the lower priced items. Luckily two in the party did not drink or I would be broke. I finally chose a $105 bottle which was fine but clearly not anything deserving of price. Lastly, nearly everything was salty: The beef, the potatoes, the spinach and my scallop appetizer had so much garlic as to wipe out any ability to really even taste the wine. For serious beef and potato eaters only, others should look elsewhere and spend less.
