The menu does a great job of combining cowboy or gringo touches with Mexican style; specialties include chicken fried steak and signature Bob Armstrong dip. This eatery in the Lakewood District specializes in good, classic Tex-Mex. The decor verges on bland, but the food makes up for that with such rich flavors and large portions that we had to pace ourselves. Bob Armstrong Dip –a mix of queso, spiced ground beef, and guacamole topped with sour cream – ranks as Matt's signature appetizer. It's as heavy and as decadent as it sounds. Recently enjoyed lunch with my lady. I had the chicken fried steak "cowboy style" and was floored by how good it was. Very generous margaritas, expertly made, no wonder the locals flock to this eatery. Bravo !!! with a great price.
