About Dallas Shopping

Dallas Shopping

Pastime, hobby, obsession: however you choose to put it, that's what shopping is to Dallas natives. From the chic and trendy Uptown shopping district to the sprawling suburban malls, the Dallas area is blanketed with shops, shops and more shops. Three malls that consistently get top billing among knowledgeable shoppers are the Galleria, Highland Park Village and NorthPark Center. These notable retail centers house hundreds of stores and high-end designer favorites Versace, Gucci, Prada and Saks Fifth Avenue. Also a shopper's haven, the West End Marketplace features a large collection of restaurants and shops, including Wild Bill's, the perfect spot for the western gear for which Texans are famous. Western Warehouse, located west of downtown, also sells quality boots, clothes, hats and accoutrements. The flagship Neiman Marcus store remains downtown, reminding guests that Dallas is the birthplace of this upscale retail chain. McKinney Avenue and Uptown, serviced by the historic McKinney Avenue trolley, feature upscale art and antique stores; meanwhile, Greenville Avenue and Deep Ellum showcase clothing boutiques and funky art shops.
