8. Pacchia's Jazz Room

The Jazz Room has its own group, the Pacchia Jazz Quartet, that plays from 8-12 every Thursday night. This group is simply incredible. Led by Erik Augis, three regulars and a guest player produce a different sound and feel almost every week, and the level of professionalism and quality is so much higher than anyone would have a right to expect at such a small venue, it's simply amazing. It's more crowded on the weekends and the acts vary widely, but are also generally of high quality. But if it's a Thursday night in Dayton and you want to experience live jazz played well in a great jazz venue, be sure to check out the Jazz Room at Pacchia.
