KETTERING. Indian cuisine at its finest is in store at Ajanta, which also offers relaxed atmosphere. You'll find both vegetarian and meat dishes available, although you'd be remiss not to sample nan, poori, or paratha first, three of the restaurant's delicious appetizer breads. House specialties include lamb choley (with chick peas and rice) and tandoori-cooked chicken tika (with onions and peppers.) Servings are generous, and prices are affordable.

OREGON HISTORIC DISTRICT. Actually, several venues in one, Pacchia has built its reputation on a casually upscale atmosphere, several dining and entertainment options, and excellent wood-fired oven cuisine. Exposed brick walls are adorned with local artwork, and the ambience is sophisticated without being stuffy. A variety of "small plates" appeal to lighter appetites, while pizzas feature creative toppings such as asparagus, beef tenderloin, wild mushroom seviche, and cilantro pesto. Entrees focus on grilled meats – the rare ahi and roasted Cornish hen are standouts. After dinner, you can enjoy live music in the Jazz Room, cocktails on the patio at the Agave Margarita Bar, or coffee and dessert at Oregon Emporium Coffee Bar.
