7. Oakwood Club

Amazing!
Service at Oakwood Club is sometimes perfect--and sometimes less than perfect. In these tough economic times, service should always be perfect.

If possible I wouldn't give the Oakwood Club any stars. Our experience there was the second worst experience I have ever had at a restuarant. We made reservations for March 14, 2009 for a party of six. The reservations were made more than 4 days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant we were told that they didn't have our reservation. We showed the hostess our cell phone where we had called in our reservation. She said she was sorry there was nothing they could do about it. Essentially she kicked us out of the restaurant. She admitted it was their mistake but offered no explanaion and did nothing, I want to emphasize nothing, to try and accomodate us. We were shown the door. The Oakwood Club boosts it has "...one goal - to provide the finest quality service and food to our customers...". I can only say it falls far short of its mark.

Best restaurant in Dayton. Great appetizers. They have the best seafood in town.....they alway s have a bout 3 fresh fish specials a day in addition to the regular menu. The steaks are delicious. Best food for the money!
