Totally Random
We went to a financial planning seminar hosted at Gene's and the steak was good enough to suggest we should return. BIG mistake. The service was very slow, and the food no more than average. I get the feeling from reading all of the reviews - good and bad - that this place specializes in Race Week, and caters to that regulars who show up then. Reviews during the months with races in town are generally better than other reviews. During the rest of the year, you may or may not get good anything - service, steaks, atmosphere.

A staple for Volusia County dining! We are locals and hold Gene's Steakhouse the standard all restaurants measure up to. Excellent quality meat, great service, wonderful owners! A truly great experience every time!!
