As our daughter is at Millikin, we looked for a good restaurant in Decatur. We have eaten here twice; both times ALL our meals were OUTSTANDING! One of the things I like about this restaurant is that you can eat here quickly if you are on your way to a concert or campus event. This is our place to go in Decatur

Furniture is uncomfortable and unattractive. They believe they are better than they really are. Food is usually pretty good. Management very independent - for instance, "managed menus" during special holidays.

Decatur, IL is the "godforsaken" hometown of mine I hold dear to my heart. I would have to agree with mega. I live on Miami Beach and know what fine dining is and I feel that Bizou has done a great job in transforming an old building into a charming New Orleans high-ceiling-style restaurant. For what it is, in the place/neigborhood it is, and what there is to compare against, this is a 3.5 star restaurant. The food was, well, regular to somewhat tasty but an effort was made to present it well and the waitress was very helpful. Yes, the food may be a little over priced but it is consistent with other continental fare cuisines. Decatur needs a few more restaurants like this in Bizou's neighborhood to revitalize a defunct downtown. I eat at Bizou every time I visit.

A great place for a nice dinner downtown! Menu changes often and I can always find something that is delicous. It is a little more expensive, so not an "everyday place", but makes for a special evening. You get what you pay for!

It had snowed about 4 days before we visited the restaurant, seemingly enough time to clear the snow from the sidewalk to the door, this was not the case. My wife and I had to walk through several inches of snow to get into the door. The waiter was extremely rude and portrayed the idea that he was better than everyone he was serving. The menu is extremely short and outrageously overpriced. I understand that the intention of the this restaurant is to add "a bit of Continental panache to the Main Street dining scene" but come on this place is downtown, in league with Jimmy Johns, KFC, Main Place, and Pastabilities. All of which you looking at a meal price for 3-4 people versus the price of 1 person at Bizou.
