9. Mazatlan Restaurant

DENTON.   Folks who haven't stopped by this long-time, university-area staple since the Carter administration will find that Mazatlan has changed little over the years. In fact, bare walls, beer signs, and a gravel parking lot look like they always have. Fortunately for the loyal clientele, authentic Mexican fare hasn't changed much either – it's still as delicious as always. Familiar favorites like enchiladas, flautas, and huevos rancheros highlight the menu, and all are prepared using the freshest ingredients.   (© 10Best)

This place is nasty. The food is disgusting and the dining area is in disrepair. I wonder what the kitchen looks like. The only good thing is the service, which is excellent.

Fabulous food. NO ATMOSPHERE, so don't do a romantic dinner here, unless you are just about the food. REAL Mexican food, not chain-restaurant BS.
