There are numerous quaint locally owned shops that are worth visiting. Recycled Books Records and CDs is a fun place to spend a day reading, researching, listening to music, etc. The Chestnut Tree is a favorite for a tea-room type lunch and has fun gift items. Beth Marie's has wonderful hand-made ice-cream. Jupiter House is a coffee house full of atmosphere. Courthouse Collection and Elements of Design have an eclectic mix of clothing and collectibles. Amyx Fine Jewelry sells consigned jewelry at great prices and has an unusual assortment of items. And the courthouse is beautiful and has a nice lawn to lay on in the warm weather months.
