25. El Tepehuan

Best tasting savory Mexican food (actually Tex-Mex)in state of Colorado. Excellent savory salsa. Well known and frequented by locals and their families. 7:00am to 8:00pm M - Sat, 9:00-2:00pm Sun. Get there before 1130 or after 1:30pm to avoid the lines. My favorite is the Revolucion - large serving of marinated shredded beef w/rice and beans and torts and side of house salsa for only $8.00. Hands down, El Tepehuan is the town secret which was recommended to me by a local after hearing me complain about the lack of a good Mexican restaurant in Denver.
