9. Hot Cakes Diner

This places was fabulous! I loved the coffee mugs - and the coffee. The star of the meal was the Sweet Potato Waffles. I had an omlet with the dollar pancakes (NOT - they were 6' pancakes), but my husband's waffle was over-the-top-write home-to-Mom about! Nice service, altho we did question the "below the tee" skin show! We'll be back for more great food - and of course the waffles!

It's not the prettiest place in town but the servers are friendly and very competent, the food is excellent and the portions are big. The kitchen gets a little slow when it's busy but it's worth the wait.

While the service is phenomenal, the food is inconsistent and it's very, very hot inside the restaurant. Try the healthnut pancakes but steer away from the biscuits and gravy.
