SOUTH DENVER.   Chefs in training get a chance to prove their mettle at Assignments, which is affiliated with The Art Institute of Colorado. Regulars agree that the food is first-class and that culinary students really love what they do. Gourmet sandwiches and salads can be had, along with meat and seafood entrees. A la carte and prix fixe dining options are both available, as is catering. Reservations accepted. Some times it's hard to know when they are open, but what a great restaurant. Dinners are a good value too.
