Festival of Mountain and Plain ... A Taste of Colorado

DOWNTOWN. This Labor Day weekend event celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2008, even though its origins reach as far back as 1895. The festival – which honors Western heritage and culture – runs the gamut of community fun, offering live music on seven stages, hundreds of art and vendor booths, and food from more than 50 restaurants. Kids' activities and special exhibits are also part of the event. There's no charge to get in, but food, drink, and activities do require tickets. Come join the half-million other folks who turn out to bid a fond, fun-filled farewell to summer!
