8. ArtFest Midwest

The Buzz -- Des Moines' ArtFest Midwest, known as "The Other Art Show," is a wonderful annual event that features artwork from a number of skilled regional artists. This Des Moines art event showcases a variety of different artwork, and includes a special area for children, which features hands-on art activities, demonstrations and performances. Best of all, admission and parking for the event are completely free.
