DOWNTOWN.   This impressive museum, dedicated to the history, culture, and arts of African-Americans, is the largest of its kind in the world. It chronicles the journey of African-Americans, beginning in the 14th century, when African slaves were brought to America, and continuing to the present day.   (© 10Best)

This museum was incredible! The main exibit has a ton to see and it has a lot of interactive parts. I went to this museum with my college African American Lit. class and honestly enjoyed it. It really does take you on a journey. The slave ship was one of the most incredible and heart wrenching thing I have ever seen. They also have an interactive children's exibit for preschool and elementary age kids. I don't usually go to museums, but I will definately go back to this one.
