I'm a Detroit native and am appalled that The Magic Bag made the top ten list. Although it can be halfway decent for seeing one of their alternative films, I would by no means recommend seeing a concert there. The acoustics are terrible and it can be hard to see. If it's a decent show, the venue is extremely cramped, there's no place you can go to get away from the crowds besides the bathrooms. Last time I went my friend was burned by a cigarette, we had drunk people crashing into us, and always were rubbing against strangers. I've been to crowded shows before, but this is just uncomfortable. With all the sights and sounds of Detroit, this is one of the last places I would recommend someone new to the area visiting.
