SOUTHFIELD.   Southfield residents received a true gift when Gianni and Christina Belsito decided to open this delightful Italian eatery at the crossing of Franklin Road and Northwestern Highway. A meal here is an elegant affair that features fine wines, gourmet cuisine, and a professional, tuxedo-clad waitstaff. Sample such homemade pasta dishes as ravioli stuffed with eggplant or tortellacci stuffed with porcini mushrooms, black truffle, and cheese. Delicious meat and seafood alternatives include roast veal and Mediterranean-style red snapper. An authentic Italian food lovers destination outside of Italy. Dinner was an experience well worth the wait. Il Posto is one of the best fine dinning restaurants I have ever visited. Every time I return to Detroit this is the place I will come back to.

A wonderful place to have lunch with clients. The website is very informative. The full menu is online. I always decide what I want to order before I get there. Great food! Relaxing atmosphere!

This is one of the most beautiful, sensual food experiences I have ever had! The food, wine, presentation, and oh-so-Italian ambiance are spectacular and well worth the expense!
