ROCHESTER HILLS.   Centered around charming, park-like areas and boasting tree-lined streets and colorful planting beds, this eminently appealing downtown district makes for terrific browsing. With approximately fifty shops and restaurants, the village isn't the area's biggest shopping center, but its inviting ambience is wonderful, and the retailers include lots of top-notch options. Expect to find businesses like Pottery Barn, Banana Republic, Williams-Sonoma, American Eagle, Chico's, J. Crew, Talbots, and Smith & Hawken.   (© 10Best)
