 EDITOR REVIEW: TROY. A classic American steakhouse, this Troy treasure is a favorite with the Motor City's "in" crowd, and it's not uncommon to find the place crowded with big-time execs, politicians, and celebrities. Atmosphere and decor are reminiscent of a traditional dinner club, complete with mahogany booths and tables, subdued lighting, dark-paneled walls, comfy leather furnishings, and a wine cellar with more than 5,000 Californian, Chilean, French, and Italian vintages. House specialties include a mammoth, 24-oz. dry-aged porterhouse, steak au poivre with cognac cream sauce, and a 20-oz. Delmonico. Alternatively, fish and seafood are widely regarded as some of the best in town, and grilled Norwegian salmon with dill mayonnaise and fresh Maine lobster lead the way.
