This city center church was named for a crucifix housed inside that dates from the 1300s. The impressive tower of the church is open and affords visitors expansive views of the city below. Though it is most famous for its being home to the popular Kreuzchor Boys Choir, the Kreuzkirche was also an integral part in the meetings to end Communist rule. During Christmas holidays, the church features a market and draws locals and tourists from around Saxony.
