This Catholic church, once the church of the royal court, stands as the largest and most elaborate in Saxon Germany. Built in the early 18th century, the design reflects the architectural flourish of the period. The façade of the church is etched with the faces of thirty-eight Biblical figures, and the interior crypt is the final resting place for forty-nine Saxon rulers. An interesting look at the role of religion in the development of pre-World War I German royalty. (© 10Best) More Details for Dresden Cathedral (Kathedrale Ss.
