8. Neumarkt

Ironically, the Neustadt (New City) is actually older than the city center Altstadt, due to the massive firebombing that signaled the end of World War II. Across the Elbe from the historic Dresden center, the Neustadt, and its main square Neumarkt, offer visitors a wealth of sightseeing options.
