The ruins of this once-famed church stood as a symbol of the city's greatness as well as a reminder of the senseless destruction brought about by war for over four decades. The church was rebuilt over eleven years - keeping with the original design of George Bähr and using even using original materials when possible. The church was consecrated in 2005 and now is a fixture in the Dresden skyline again. Tours are available during church hours and you can also check out the exhibition or go up to the dome.
