8. The Big Bus Company

Not worth the money
Went there in June 09. Not very pleased with the tour. The red tour takes you through crowded old city roads, through not worth seeing points, spending lot of time just on the road due to traffic. Not every bus top deck is covered or airconditioned. During summer, the hot air blowing through your face when the bus is cruising through the blue tour across the beach will only burn you. The only points that are worth seeing are Burj-Al-Arab, South Madina, Palm, Emirates Mall and Dubai Mall, and the rest of the points are not worth seeing, you are better off with a taxi, where you can spend enough time at the particular attraction you want (Particularly when are going in a group). When you purchase a ticket, the receipt they give is a tiny(< 3"x2") , thin piece of paper, which is very easily lost. Once you lose it, there your trip ends. If you've to continue, you need to cough up another 200 Dirhams (around $55 US Dollars). This looks like an intentional scam to fool & the customers.
