6. Dubai World Trade Centre

Much like the souks were the heart and soul of ancient Dubai, the World Trade Centre pumps the life-blood of the city today. An important player in international trade and finance, the Centre hosts a variety of exhibitions and conferences throughout the year and also serves as the regional headquarters for some of the world's most powerful companies. The ultra-modern tower, commissioned by H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed al Maktoum, rises 39 floors above the busy Dubai streets, and the 37th floor observation lounge offers spectacular city views; however, guests may visit the lounge only when part of an organized tour.   (© 10Best)
