7. Peppermint

The Peppermint, with its discreet – not to say easily missed – side-of-hotel entrance and distinctive vibe, has a genuinely exclusive feel. Throughout the year a steady stream of big name DJs is attracted here, because it means something to have a gig at the Peppermint's Barajeel Ballroom on their résumé. The only drawbacks are the real possibility of snaking queues, particularly on weekends, and the certainty that unaccompanied males will be denied entrance.   (© 10Best)
