3. Deira Souks

DEIRA.   Spread over both sides of the Creek, the Durai Souks are a "must see" attraction for those visiting Dubai for the first time. These colorful open-air markets are Dubai's lifeblood, and have been since its earliest days as a Bedouin settlement. Plan to spend a few hours strolling through the Souks, particularly the Gold Souk, where the various wooden stalls glitter with fine jewelry, much of it hand crafted. Next door, the Perfume Souk features a potpourri of traditional Arabic spices and European designer colognes and perfumes. The Electronic Souk offers terrific deals on the latest CD players, game systems, and the like.   (© 10Best)
