3. Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art

The Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery of Modern Art started when Hugh Lane left his art collection to the State for public display. His collection was predominantly from the period of Impressionism and included artists such as Manet, Monet, Corot, and Courbet. There are many great works by Irish artists on display, as well.
