This church is smaller than many of the more famous ones in Dublin, but it has its own interesting draw. The burial vaults below the cathedral are made of magnesium limestone, which dries the atmosphere to the point that bodies kept there are well preserved, some since the 17th century. The building dates from 1686 but has been significantly restored since then. There are guided tours of the church everyday except Sunday.
