This pub has been around since 1492, "changing the world forever," as their sign claims. A bold claim, but with an ultra-friendly and laid-back atmosphere, a band of local regulars, and relative calm compared to most Temple Bar pubs, The Duke is one of the best places to relax with a pint and good conversation. With painted peach-colored ceilings, cozy couches, and live Irish music most evenings, this watering hole (made famous in Joyce's "Ulysses") is authentic Dublin at its best.   (© 10Best)
