9. Superior Whitewater Raft Tours

I'm sure them have good/great instructors & safety is a big deal for them. That's not my beef with the people in this organizations. I took our church's HS youth group on a mission trip & on June 12-13th, it rained & the state shut down major highways over the night due to major flooding. We called Superior White Water and let them know there was absolutely no way to reach Duluth from our location as we were taking detour after detour & didn’t even know if there was a passable route. They told us that they are open & if we can't make it, there is nothing they can do & there are no possibilities for refunds of any kind. I get they have to guard against people flaking out last minute but this wasn't a situation we could overcome due to impassable roads. The highway was shut down by the state, there was no way to reach the facility & this was a HS youth group that raised this money so they could do mission work for a week. The youth were really looking forward to white water rafting on their free day. I also get they have to pay people to perform the services but there was no possibility of a partial refund for services not received & no sympathy for the situation. Thanks 'George' for taking the $600 we worked so hard to raise. I hope it was worth it. Our youth group & parents say thank you too…..

This rafting trip was awesome!! Instructors were very good, keeping the trip safe and fun. I plan to come back year after year! A++
