2. Cargenbank Antiques and Tearoom

We have been regular vistors to Cargenbank for a number of years. The food is always of the highest quality, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff are always very pleasant and attentive. Thoroughly recommend whether for a romantic dinner or a family gathering, it's excellent.

I recently hosted a Bridal Shower for my daughter here and everything was wonderful! The food was delicious and plentiful. The meringues were a favorite of mine! The guests were at home and made welcome. The staff was attentive yet unobtrusive. It was a memorable experience for all! Thanks so much!

I don't normally do this type of thing but after reading the misleading review from "Ronnie" Haugh of Urr I want to tell you of my experience at Cargenbank. My husband and I have visited Cargenbank Restaurant many times often accompanied by friends - each time being treated to a new culinary delight. The food on offer is always of the highest quality and beautifully presented. I would advise anybody reading this review to go to Cargenbank and try it for themselves - I assure you, you won't be disappointed.

Dined in the restaurant as a table of 6 and found it very enjoyable. I found the meal extremely appetizing in particular the steak which was to my liking and the restaurant itself pleasant and friendly, I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Dined in the restaurant earlier this year, in a party of four, chef is trying to produce fresh quality food with little success. Food was extremely average tasting, reasonably presented, only one type of vegetable offered, salad with the lobster was very basic and lacked any type of dressing. For quality and quantity found to be overpriced.

Excellent home baking try the lemon drizzle cake -best I’ve tasted.
