The idyllic gardens are mostly walled and span the length of the Cambo burn. The spot is renowned for its scenic lilac walk and more than 200 varieties of roses.

The University Botanic Gardens, which are spread over 21 acres of land, feature flora and fawn from around the world and have more than 20 planthouses. There are a number of walking paths, as well as a water garden. The gardens also feature a visitor's center and coffee shop.

Located about an hour drive from Dundee, this 18th century home and gardens showcase the region's past. The grounds feature two semiformal gardens where perennials and dazzling roses are lined by dianthus. Pitmuies Gardens also offer walking trails that provide scenic views of the loch and river.
