This Duke attraction’s research center focuses on prosimian primates, which are traced as the evolutionary predecessors to monkeys and apes and are native to Africa and Asia. Lemurs, an endangered species native to Madagascar, account for most of the center's 254 inhabitants. There are also 24 Asian lorises and African galagos.
