EAU CLAIRE.   Driving through Carson Park, sightseers would be hard-pressed to miss this unique complex thanks to the life-size statues of legendary lumberman Paul Bunyan and Babe, the blue ox, standing guard at the entrance. A variety of family-friendly exhibits and activities are available, from a replica of an 1890s logging camp (complete with blacksmith shop, jammer, and heavy equipment shed) to the Henry O. Strand Interpretive Center, which contains artifacts from Northern Wisconsin's logging heyday. Guided group tours are available by reservation (715-834-7871).   (© 10Best)
