DOWNTOWN.   The Theatre Guild, which is headquartered in the State Theatre in downtown Eau Claire, has been putting on top-notch dramatic performances for residents of the Chippewa Valley for more than two decades now. The company presents a broad seasonal repertoire each year, with performances ranging from Broadway musicals to Shakespearean comedies. Past shows have included Rogers and Hammerstein's Carousel, Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Jesus Christ Superstar," and "Oliver!," the stage adaptation of Charles Dickens's famous novel. The Theatre Guild does quality, fun performances. Lots of Chippewa Valley residents are involved. The Little Grand Theatre on Grand Avenue is a wonderfully intimate theatre space. CVTG also has a great summer program for childrren with professionally trained teachers and great opportunities for young children through teens. This is the BEST theatre experience in the Chippewa Valley!
