8. The Stone's Throw

DOWNTOWN.   The Victorian-style Barnes Block Building provides the setting for one of Eau Claire's more unique nightspots and the heart and soul of the downtown music scene. The bar spans three levels, and the owners have been careful to preserve much of the building's original character, opting for weathered brick walls and leaving an old fireplace on stage right intact. Behind the bar, you'll find friendly staff waiting to pour you a cold one or put in an order for a Stone's Throw Pizza, fried mushrooms, or some other munchy.   (© 10Best)
