WATER STREET HISTORIC DISTRICT.
Rub elbows with the college crowd at this Water Street dive, which tends to stay packed year round. Narrow and cozy, the aptly-named Joynt is somewhat of a local legend, due in large part to its homey atmosphere. The interior walls are decorated with black and white photos of American pop culture heroes, mostly magicians, and behind the long bar is an impressive collection of beer cans, most of which are probably older than many of the regulars. If you need a marker to point you in direction of The Joynt, look for the gothic gargoyle that overlooks the front entrance from his second-level perch.

And tonight the atmosphere changed.... the bar tender glared at me as if I had lepers on my face. This was something new as I frequent the Joynt often. Long live the days of good service....

I have travelled in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America and The Joynt is by far my absolute favourite bar in the world. Service is impeccable, surrounds are relaxed and comfortable and for the most part - they seem to keep the idiots out of there so the rest of us can enjoy ourselves.

Hey i'm French and I was in Eau Claire in 1987 for holidays. It was about a student's school exchange. To spend free time in the afternoon friends and I we were in The Joint, to listen to music, playing billards, and knowing american girls....!!!!!! I'm very please to know that this bar an the others like Pioneer and Mogie's pub are already alive, probably this because they're the best places of Eau Claire.
Can you send me photograph of the team of The Joint to remember me VERY GOOD TIMES THAT I SPEND IN THIS PLACE...!!!!!
