6. The Joynt

And tonight the atmosphere changed.... the bar tender glared at me as if I had lepers on my face. This was something new as I frequent the Joynt often. Long live the days of good service....

I have travelled in Europe, Australia, Asia and North America and The Joynt is by far my absolute favourite bar in the world. Service is impeccable, surrounds are relaxed and comfortable and for the most part - they seem to keep the idiots out of there so the rest of us can enjoy ourselves.

Hey i'm French and I was in Eau Claire in 1987 for holidays. It was about a student's school exchange. To spend free time in the afternoon friends and I we were in The Joint, to listen to music, playing billards, and knowing american girls....!!!!!! I'm very please to know that this bar an the others like Pioneer and Mogie's pub are already alive, probably this because they're the best places of Eau Claire. Can you send me photograph of the team of The Joint to remember me VERY GOOD TIMES THAT I SPEND IN THIS PLACE...!!!!! Thanks a lot and sorry for my english! The Joynt is a crackin' place to hang out. It is rich with history; planted on the traditional University watering-hole on Water Street in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. It seems like it has been around forever. The Joynt is ecclectic as would be expected from a university bar and earthy as the town it serves. The Joynt served Point beer and Walters beer even when they weren't cool. Man, I would love to have a locally brewed Walters beer now. Sorry we took it for granted as a cheap beer back in the day. The Joynt is a fabulous place
