DOWNTOWN.   After suffering through a few years of neglect due to urban sprawl, Eau Claire's downtown has received a much-needed shot in the arm in recent years. Antique stores and small art galleries now share the downtown area's classic storefronts with a unique collection of eateries and nightspots, including Abbie's, Varone's, Acoustic Cafe, and Stones Throw.
