This looks and acts like a basic, traditional pub, but a few things differentiate it from the pack. First, the selection of food here is much broader than at most places, meaning you can get here early, have a nice dinner of lasagna, chili, korma, oven-baked sandwiches, or a vegetarian special and then hang out for the evening. The hand-pumped ales are first-rate, and the crowd is usually full of rugby players or fans, since this pub is owned by rugby enthusiasts.
