4. Crêperie

DOWNTOWN.   A long-time Edmonton favorite, The Crêperie fairly oozes romance, but it's comfortable for families as well. If you plan to have dinner here, you'll be pleased to find plenty of choices such as savory crêpes stuffed with lovely combinations like asparagus, brie and smoked salmon, creamed spinach with mushrooms, and scallops in a sherry cream sauce. But where The Crêperie really shines is dessert. These sweet crêpes are an indulgence to be sure. The most popular is Crêpe Glace au Chocolat (a crêpe wrapped around vanilla ice cream topped with bittersweet chocolate sauce, whipped cream and toasted almonds), but the classic Crêpes Suzette are a sure winner too.
