Much revered for its Salvadoran, Central American and Mexican cooking, Acajutla is the place to go when you're craving something slightly exotic. Among those in the know, the dish of choice is pupusas, traditional Salvadoran corn tortillas stuffed with beans, cheese, meat or all three. You eat these little delicacies with a healthy dose of curtido, a spicy cabbage and carrot relish. Of course, if pupusas aren't your thing, there are plenty of other options, such as enchiladas, authentic sausages, chile rellenos, and even huevos rancheros.   (© 10Best)

The food seemed really authentic, although I'm not certain what authentic central american/mexican food tastes like... definitely nothing like taco bell though, which, in my opinion is good. I went there with no real idea of what to expect. It was pretty dead but the service was wonderful... casual and friendly. The pricing was reasonable too.
